The Red Sox continue to explore possible deals for Manny Ramirez, who has asked to be traded several times, the AP reports. Ramirez can decline any trade because he's currently a 10/5 man. The Red Sox will be in a better position to make a deal if they wind up signing J.D. Drew; the two sides continued to move closer to a possible contract Monday. According to the Boston Herald, the Rangers and the Angels are the most interested parties in Ramirez right now, with the Giants also mentioned.

The Boston Herald reports that Manny Ramirez has said he would like to play somewhere else next season, and he has apparently given the Red Sox a list of at least 10 teams that he would be willing to go to. Now that Alfonso Soriano has signed with the Cubs, the Angels and Phillies are two teams still looking for a big-time bat this winter, and Manny certainly fits that bill. The Rangers are also believed to have interest.

"I visited with Manny this morning, when he was working out," Francona said. "I had him in there and about an hour later, he called me back, and he said 'I just got some hesitancy there.'
