February 1, 2008 The Rays have agreed to a minor league contract with Josh Paul, according to the St. Petersburg Times. He'll have to hold off Shawn Riggans and Mike Defilice in order to keep his job as the Rays' backup catcher in 2008.

July 27, 2007 The Devil Rays reinstated catcher Josh Paul from the 60-day disabled list on Friday, according to the AP. He had been sidelined since May 20 because of a left elbow injury. Devil Rays manager Joe Maddon said Paul will start Saturday's game against Boston.
