August 26, 2008 Seattle right-hander Miguel Batista made his first start since August 4th and gave up just one run on five hits in six innings while striking out three, but Batista's re-entry into the rotation appears to be short-lived, according to MLB.com. If the rotation went in order, his next start would have been on Sunday against Cleveland -- the day manager Jim Riggleman has designated starter Carlos Silva's return to the rotation after spending two weeks on the disabled list with right triceps tendinitis. "Just the way the timing of it works out, it looks like he won't start because we've got an off-day Thursday, and [Jarrod] Washburn will pitch on an extra day's rest as it is," Riggleman said on Tuesday. "Felix [Hernandez] will pitch [Saturday], and Silva will pitch Sunday ... so we kind of run out of days there with that off-day."
