The oft-injured Griffey recently underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to repair a partially torn meniscus and cartilage, but he is expected to be completely recovered prior to Spring Training.

While everyone, including the newly acquired Ken Griffey Jr., seems to be happy with his move from Cincinnati to Chicago, it doesn't seem to make much sense when one studies the Pale Sox roster. Junior will presumably play center field and you have to assume his at-bats will mirror those in Cincinnati. With this move, somebody on the Sox roster will lost at-bats, and that player won't be Nick Swisher, who has played the most center field this year.
