Vladimir Guerrero said he has almost fully recovered from an irritated right triceps that prevented him from playing in the field towards the end of this past season. Vladimir Guerrero was hit on his left shoulder blade by a pitch during Friday's game. X-rays taken Saturday came back negative, accoroding to the LA Times. "It's still sore, it's a little stiff," Manager Mike Scioscia said. "But knowing Vlad, he'll come in [today] and he'll be ready to go." Guerrero has a big welt where he was hit, but all signs point to him being in the starting lineup on Sunday.
October 5, 2007
Vladimir Guerrero, who has been dealing with sore triceps muscles in both arms, is expected to start in right field tonight for the first time in a month, according to the Boston Herald. "It's gone," Guerrero said. "If I had any pain right now, I probably would not force Mike (Scioscia) to put me in the outfield. I don't feel anything right now." Assuming he gets through tonight's contest okay, Vlad could remain in the outfield for the rest of the series.

Vladimir Guerrero, who has been nursing sore triceps muscles on both arms, will start at DH tonight, although manager Mike Scioscia thinks the slugger can return to right field at some point during the series, according to the LA Times. Vlad has been throwing for more than a week now.

Vladimir Guerrero probably also will sit out Sunday as he nurses sore triceps muscles on both arms, according to the AP. Vlad has been dealing with the injury for a few weeks now.

Vladimir Guerrero (triceps) missed his second straight game Tuesday and is questionable for Wednesday, the AP reports. Guerrero threw before batting practice for the first time in more than two weeks to test his inflamed right triceps; the club needs to find out if Guerrero, whose last 13 starts have been at DH, can play RF in the playoffs.
September 21, 2007
Vladimir Guerrero did not test his injured right arm on Thursday as scheduled, and he appears to be at least a week away from returning to the outfield, according to the LA Times. "He's doing some strengthening exercises, and the trainers want him to do those for a few more days before he throws," manager Mike Scioscia said. "So, he will be pushed back for right now." Guerrero is expected to DH for the majority of the playoffs, although things could get tricky with the Angels make it to the World Series.
September 20, 2007
Vladimir Guerrero's right arm injury could restrict him to DH duty in the playoffs, according to the LA Times. "Our goal is to get him ready to play the outfield," manager Mike Scioscia said. "When it happens, it happens. It's not day to day. I don't know if it's going to be five days from now, six days from now, two weeks from now. If he makes progress, things could turn quickly." Guerrero hopes to test his arm today, so more should be known about his status shortly.
September 16, 2007
Vladimir Guerrero is still not able to play right field because of a sore right triceps, the AP reports. He's been limited to a DH role since his return to the lineup on Sept. 11 after missing four games. Guerrero went 1-for-5 with an RBI Saturday, for what it's worth.
September 12, 2007

Vladimir Guerrero, who missed his third straight game Saturday because of tendinitis in his right triceps, underwent a CT scan, according to the AP. It revealed a posterior impingement in his right elbow, which was causing tendinitis in the triceps. He is listed as day-to-day. It's possible Vlad will return to the lineup early next week.
September 7, 2007
Angels outfielder Vladimir Guerrero is expected to miss a couple games this weekend because of an inflamed right triceps, according to the Los Angeles Times. "It's just a little tightness -- he'll probably need a day or two to calm it down," manager Mike Scioscia told the paper. "This is relatively minor. It should clear up in a couple of days, where he should at least be able to swing the bat. There's a lot of baseball left. It makes sense to calm this down rather than play through it."
September 6, 2007
The Angels were forced to play without the services of Vladimir Guerrero on Thursday. He was scratched from the lineup due to an inflamed right triceps, according to the AP. We should know more about his status for the weekend on Friday. Hopefully, this is nothing serious.

Vladimir Guerrero was given a day off Wednesday so he could get two straight days of rest before the Angels host the Tigers Friday, the AP reports. Guerrero is homerless in 97 at-bats over his last 24 games -- the longest drought of his big league career, and curious timing given that he won the Home Run Derby over the All-Star break. "It didn't mess up his stroke," hitting coach Mickey Hatcher said. "I just think he's going through a period of time right now where he's a little tired, and he's been missing some pitches."
July 9, 2007
Vladimir Guerrero won the Home Run Derby on Monday night, hitting 17 homers and beating Toronto's Alex Rios 3-2 in the final round of the All-Star competition, according to the AP. Vladimir Guerrero's right wrist is too swollen and sore for the Angels right fielder to play in this series against the Athletics, the Los Angeles Times reports. Vladimir Guerrero, who had to leave Monday's game after getting hit on the wrist by a pitch, will be re-evaluated today, according to the Orange County Register. "He’s okay," manager Mike Scioscia said. "It looks like there is some soft tissue swelling near the wrist. We’ll just go day to day with it. With any player, it’s scary. That ball hit him as firm as you can be hit. Hopefully it’ll be something that won’t keep him out of the lineup."

Vladimir Guerrero was the DH instead of in his usual spot in right field Wednesday, the AP reports. However, Guerrero opted against the procedure because the joint felt better after the season ended, and he doesn't expect to need the surgery in the future. The Angels are expected to DH him at times this season to keep him fresh.
